Hailing from Detroit as a 4-piece band, Glynis Martin, Luther Jackson, Seantezz Robinson and Deion Lucas formed 7 Mile. A debut single, entitled Just a memory, was released in 1997 soon to be followed by their self-titled debut album the next year. All releases where issued on the Crave Records label by Mariah Carey. It seemed that with the disappearance of the label the band almost simultanously disappeared from the music scene. The bands' name was taken from a street in Detroit.
