This obscure four piece "atlanta-based" r&b group,was released on Motown Records in 1990. Produced by Gene Griffin (Teddy Riley's uncle and Guy's former management) featured Kelvin "K.B." Bradshaw,Lloyd "Spec" Turner,Darryl "Dezo" Adams and Walter "Dis Mucho" Scott. "Nothing But A Party" became a club anthem and was frequently played on the better soul/r&b stations The other two Basic Black hits were "She's mine" and "Whatever it takes". The lead singer of Basic Black was Daryl " Dezo" Adams, joined also the early 90s group AtlanticRapBand. ARB was also a creation of Gene Griffin.
