Big Bub (aka Frederick Lee Drakeford) was one of the founding members of a group called Today which was formed in 1989, Englewood, New Jersey. The group proved to be short-lived as they already disbanded in 1991. From that moment on Lee decided to work under his stage-name Big Bub. Just one year after the band was split he already released his Comin' at cha debut album on the East West label. Soon after the release of this album he started out as a producer/background singer for the likes of Horace Brown. With the Universal record deal he released his 2nd album entitled Timeless in 1997 with guest appearances by Queen Latifah and Heavy D. A third album was released in 2000.
