From Cincinnati, OH, Reggie and Vincent Calloway's father was a trumpet player, their aunt sang opera, and their uncle played keyboards. As a child, Reggie pecked out tunes on his grandmother's piano.Trumpeter Reggie and trombone player Vincent (both respected producers),formed after they left Midnight Star in the late '80s Calloway. They had a gold smash hit with "I Wanna Be Rich" (number 5 Billboard R&B, and number 2 pop in late 1989),a better showing than Midnight Star had made in a dozen years. The track was their major hit, followed by "Sir Lancelot" and "All The Way" from their 1989 debut album All the way.The second album,"Let's get smooth"issued 3 years later with killers like "Major love" and "I desire you" (a really choon),but the album proved their last. The brothers continued working, with Teddy Pendergrass, Pieces of a Dream and Bootsy Collins, among others.
