Born on January 6th, 1959 in Philadelphia, PA., Kathy Sledge is mainly known for her lead vocals with sisters Kim, Debra and Joni in the 70's-80's Rodgers/Edwards produced Sister Sledge-quartet. In 1992 Kathy went solo and signed with Epic records and released the Heart-album which had massive names on the credit-listings like Bryan Loren, Barry J. Eastmond and Donald Robinson. Heart and Take me back to love were the two singles pulled from the album. After leaving Epic Kathy recorded several dance hits for independent labels with Another Star being the most memorable of them.
