One of Motown's new discoveries in the 90's is Ladae. The music from this four piece band is best described as a definition of the positive site of the ghetto. Combining influences from Motown artist over the last decades they became known for their sweet harmonies, smooth ballads and sensuous lovesongs. The band was introduced to Al B Sure who helped them made a demo which resulted in their first record deal with Island. Their debut album was launched in 1994 on Island records but Ladae did decided to leave the label shortly afterwards due to misunderstandings about their creative freedom. The group was then introduced to Brian Palmer to create their unique sound. Once again a record deal was signed but thus time Al B Sure Absolute Records
