Paul Laurence was born 1962 in New York. In the early 70's he met Freddie Jackson who he included in his first group the Laurence Jones Ensemble. By the 1980's he started working for manager Beau Huggins which eventually led to Paul working as a producer/songwriter with great names like Melba Moore, Lillo Thomas, Meli'sa Morgan and Keith Washington. With great succes came the opportunity of being a recording artist himself. He recorded the two albums known to date with Strung out as a single from the first album being Laurences' greatest succes as a singer. Paul aso worked on the soundtrack of Spike Lee's Do the right thing.
