It's not easy to determine what his real name is since he has been working under two different names for a long time. It could be Jazze Pha, or Pha as he was called in high school. Appearantly he and his brother Derek (by that time known as Sky) were making spoofs out of popular rap songs. Jazze Pha is also the name under which he has already produced a lot of different artists. But his real name is Phalon (Alexander) under which he recorded his Rising to the top album debut dating from 1990 on the Electra label from which two 12 inch singles were released including a remix of the title track. After his solo debut Phalon changed his name into Jazze Pha and became a highley sought-after poducer in the hip-hop industry for over ten years now. Jazze Pha has also been working with Angie Stone and the late Aaliyah.
