Pure Soul is a woman quartet comprising of Heather Perkins, Shawn Allen, Kirsten Hall and Keitha L. Shepherd all hailing from Washington, DC. Their self-titled debut album delivers a healthy dose of old school and r&b and contains major contributions by Teddy Riley, former Club Nouveau members Denzil Foster and Thomas McElroy and Rafaal Saadiq from Tony, Toni, Toné. The girls singing qualities can be described as En Vogue-ish but better, and even as a sound mix of The Emotions and The Jones Girls who where in fact a great inspiration to the girls. Little is known what happened to the girls after the one album. |
