Timmy Gatling was one of the original Guy-members but left the band early on because of creative differences and to pursue a solo career. He released just the one album entitled Help in 1989 from which the title track Help and Rock me Good were released as 12" singles. The album was mainly produced by Timmy Gatling and life long friends Robert Brookins and Alton "Wokie" Stewart. Keith Sweat can be heard on The sweat drops track and Audrey Wheeler sings a duet with Timmy on All the way. Timmy Gatling also worked with Jasmine Guy and Bell Biv Devoe.
